Heart to Heart Blanket

Mette has created another option for her popular Heart to Heart design, adapting the original overlay mosaic crochet pattern to make a baby-sized blanket using Scheepjes Colour Crafter Cake. A blanket full of hearts feels especially fitting for a new arrival.

Rows of solid and outlined hearts alternate across the blanket, with Colour Crafter Cake taking care of the colour changes as you crochet. Mette chose shade 707 Rustic Warmth for the hearts, pairing it with solid Colour Crafter in 1005 Barneveld for the background. A border in 1712 Nijmegen adds a warm, sunny finish.

Heart to Heart uses the overlay mosaic crochet technique, working with single and double crochet stitches to build up the contrasting heart motifs. Mette’s pattern includes full written instructions, a photo tutorial explaining the technique and instructions for a double border.
