Flora Pouch

By Nienke Landman

Measuring approximately 24 x 20cm, the Flora Pouch is a pretty accessory that's just the right size for collecting leftover yarn balls or carrying your everyday essentials on a day out. Knitted in the round from the base upwards using a single ball of Scheepjes Stone Washed XXL, you'll work eyelets at the top for threading a drawstring cord before embellishing the pouch with a colourful floral motif.

Satin stitch, stem stitch and French knots combine to bring the botanical design to life. You'll only need small amounts of sport weight Scheepjes Stone Washed, making this a great project for using up colourful leftovers. The pattern includes an illustrated embroidery motif to trace onto water-soluble stabiliser, and for anyone new to embroidering on their knits, a QR code links to a handy embroidery stitch guide.

The Flora Pouch is featured in Scheepjes Pattern Portfolio Volume 08: Stone Washed XXL, which showcases five knitting and crochet designs made using this soft, super chunky yarn.

Printed copies of the collectable Scheepjes Pattern Portfolio booklets are available from Scheepjes Retailers Worldwide in English and Dutch. Digital versions can be downloaded via Etsy in English and Dutch..
