Stripey Infinity Scarf
By Scheepjes DesignLong enough to loop twice around your neck, the Stripey Infinity Scarf adds plenty of colour without any loose ends to arrange or tuck away. It stays comfortably in place however you wear it.
The scarf pairs two Scheepjes Colour Crafter Cake colourways. Each cake moves gradually through six Colour Crafter shades, while the pattern switches between the two yarns every four rounds. As both cakes change at their own pace, new stripe combinations keep appearing on your needles. Part of the fun is seeing which colours meet next!
With twelve Colour Crafter Cake colourways to choose from, you can pick two palettes that suit your own wardrobe and colour preferences.
The scarf is knitted in the round in stocking stitch, with the same four-round stripe repeat throughout. There’s no need to cut the yarn at every colour change; the unused yarn is simply carried up the inside until you need it again. A jogless lift-and-knit technique helps disguise the little ‘step’ that can otherwise appear where stripes change colour in the round.
The finished scarf measures approximately 20 x 150cm, but the length is up to you. Just keep knitting until you reach the length you want before joining the two ends.
The pattern includes full written instructions and is available in English and Dutch.
