Snowdrift Cushion

By Jellina Verhoeff

Snowdrift Cushion

The Snowdrift Cushion makes an inviting addition to a craft corner, reading chair, or sofa, adding warmth and softness to the spaces where you relax, make, and unwind.

Crocheted using just one cake of Scheepjes Snowfall, it’s featured here in the Rosehip colourway, gently shifting through shades of pink. The yarn’s gradient creates a subtle sense of movement, enhanced by radiating lines of slip stitch surface crochet in a contrasting shade of Stone Washed XL. Buttons stitched into the centre create a softly indented shape that adds extra depth and shadow to the finished cushion.

The cushion is worked in two pieces, with one side beginning from the outside of the yarn cake and the other from the centre. As a double-sided cushion, you can simply flip it to suit your mood, depending on whether you feel drawn to the softer pastel tones or the richer shades.

The Snowdrift Cushion is a variation of the Dandelion Clock Cushion, made using alternative yarns. The original design was featured in YARN Bookazine 11 Macro Botanica, published by Scheepjes.
