Snow Day Shawl
By Judith HellerSnow Day Shawl
Featured here in Snow Prism, one of the rainbow variants in the Scheepjes Snowfall collection, the Snow Day Shawl brings flashes of colour guaranteed to lift the spirits.
The triangular design combines sections of linen stitch and filet crochet, finished with picot edging. Nothing too complicated. The pattern includes instructions for creating narrower stripes, making it easy to customise the look.
Prefer something a little more subtle? The shawl also works beautifully in Snowfall’s monochrome gradient colourways, where the colours gradually deepen as you crochet. Snowfall’s softly brushed halo gently blurs the shades together, giving the fabric a laid back, hazy look.
Measuring approximately 187cm along the diagonal edge and 97cm along the shawl edging, the finished shawl has an airy lightness that keeps it comfortable to layer despite its generous size.
The Snow Day Shawl is a variation of the Away Day Shawl, originally made using Scheepjes Merino Soft and featured in YARN The After Party 92. Another version, the Daybreak Shawl made using Scheepjes Woolwise, can be found in Pattern Portfolio Volume 01. A design that clearly feels at home in every colour story.
