Rhythm Bag

The Rhythm Bag is a lightweight crochet bag suited to carrying everyday essentials, whether you’re heading out for errands, packing a book and sunglasses for a day out, or bringing a small crafty project along with you.

The design uses a filet crochet stitch pattern with a four-row repeat, forming a diamond trellis of open and solid areas that gives the bag its distinctive look. Alongside the written instructions, the pattern also includes a crochet chart for those who enjoy finding their stitching rhythm visually.

The body is crocheted continuously, while the handles are worked back and forth in rows, adding strength and structure where it’s needed most.

Crocheted with Scheepjes Cotton Create in fingering/4ply weight, the smooth cotton yarn highlights the clean lines of the stitch pattern and gives the finished bag a soft, flexible feel. It’s easy to roll up and tuck into a handbag, ready for whenever it comes in handy. Passing a yarn shop, perhaps?
