Crocheted Chess King & Queen
By Sarah-Jane HicksChess has been around for centuries, and players of this strategic classic will love Sarah-Jane Hicks’ amigurumi version of the two most valuable pieces. Standing at around 16cm high, Sarah-Jane’s Crocheted Chess King and Queen figures are made using Scheepjes Cotton 8 and a 2.5mm hook. Should you want to get serious and adapt the design to make an entire set, two of the 50g balls will make up to 10 pieces.
Materials
Scheepjes Cotton 8 (100% Cotton; 50g/170m)
- Yarn A 502 (white) x 1 ball
- Yarn B 515 (black) x 1 ball
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- Stitch marker
- 1mm-thick card for base of pieces
- Small amount of polyester stuffing
